In this itinerary you will explore the former capital Yangon (Rangoon), the British Colonial architecture and its environs, and exclusively with the most outstanding historic and cultural highlights such as the world largest and the most impressive Shwedagon Pagoda, Sule Pagoda, Botataung Pagoda, Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha. Wander through Bogyoke Aung San market and the surrounding street stalls. Following, you take the circular train to the township of Insein and finish the day with a half day walking tour in Yangon.
 
   
Day 1 Yangon Day Tour
   
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport you will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to your hotel to check in. In the afternoon, visit some of the well known pagodas, including Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha, and enjoy a break at Bogyoke (Scott) market, a pleasant covered market containing crafts from all corners of Myanmar, gems, fabrics and more. You will make a photo stop at Royal Lake with the background of the famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Finally visit sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the finest of Yangon and perhaps the most stunning religious edifice in the world. As the sun sets, the reddish golden rays of Shwedagon reflect on everything around and turning into a magical arena.

Day 2 Yangon – Full Day City Tour
   
Breakfast at Hotel, in the afternoon, start an orientation tour of downtown Yangon. You will drive through Yangon busy roads and take a glimpse of the hustle downtown, Mahabandoola Park, Town Hall. See the magnificent colonial buildings of Victorian & Edwardian era architecture. This introductory drive will end with a stop near Sule pagoda - dating back over 2,000 years ago.

Afterward, visit Strand jetty to witness the daily life of the local people and Yangon River. Next, visit Botataung pagoda, named after the 1000 military leaders who escorted relics of the Buddha from India over 2000 years ago. Finally, visit Chinatown, located west of the city centre, still within the downtown area, where various stalls are set on the platform to later turn to the night market. There you can enjoy the bustling street markets; you can buy nearly everything and visit Kheng Hock Keong, the largest Chinese Temple in Yangon, which is over 100 years old.

Day 3 Yangon With Circular Train And Walking Tour
   
After breakfast, you will transfer to Yangon Railway Station to ride on the local circular train to the outskirts of Yangon. This train trip will give you a unique perspective on the daily life of the local people. During the short trip, you will see the transition of scenery from city to rural. You will disembark to visit Insein market where a variety of street vendors sell colourful local wares. You will enjoy exploring the market and meeting the friendly locals before returning by road to Yangon.

In the afternoon, you continue with the Walking Tour around the colonial area which is filled with various historical and colonial buildings. You will start at the Central Post Office and walk along the Strand Road towards the historical Strand Hotel, a landmark dating to the British period; then to the jetty to observe the ways of life of the people on Yangon River. Then proceed to Pansoedan Street, famous for the impressive colonial buildings. And then walk down to Sule Pagoda; the City Hall, the High Court Building, the Emmanuel Baptist Church and Mahabandola Garden. You will take a break at one of the local teashops, a great place to soak in the local cultural and lifestyle. Afterwards you take a walk around the colourful Chinatown. You may also visit the wet market on 38th Street.

Transfer back to hotel.

Day 4 Yangon Departure
