In this itinerary you will experience a wonderful journey that will take you right into the heart of a friendly land, where exceptional hospitality is guaranteed. It begins in the charming former British colonial city of Yangon (Rangoon) which is the main commercial city of Myanmar. Then you will visit the Bagan, the richest archeological sights in Asia, Mount Popa, Mandalay, the last royal capital and ancient capital of Amarapura.

Enjoy a horse-cart ride in Inwa and explore the world largest bell in the ancient city of Mingun. Relax in Inle Lake, one of the most spectacular lakes in Southeast Asia, and explore the village of Indein for the ruins of ancient pagodas. The tour finishes at the beautiful pristine beaches Ngapali beach resort in the Bay of Bengal.
Day 1 Yangon Day Tour
Upon arrival at Yangon international Airport you will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to your hotel to check in or drop off your luggage.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Maha Bandula Park, Independence monument and the surrounding colonial buildings of Victorian & Edwardian era architecture. Spend some time at Sule Pagoda. Next, visit Botataung Pagoda, named after the 1000 military leaders who escorted relics of the Buddha from India over 2000 years ago. Finally visit Shwedagon Pagoda, the finest of Yangon and perhaps the most stunning religious edifice in the world. As the sun sets, the reddish golden rays of Shwedagon Pagoda reflect on everything around and turning into a magical arena.

Day 2 Yangon – Bagan (Flight)
You will transfer to the airport to get the early morning flight to Bagan (06:15-07:35). Upon arrival in Bagan you will check in the hotel and then depart for a sightseeing excursion around the Bagan Archaeological Zone World Heritage Area. The tour begins at the colourful Nyaung Oo local market; Shwezigon Pagoda, Kyansittha cave Temple, Wet-kyi-inn Temple, Gubyaukgyi Temple with exquisite mural painting of 13th century and Htilominlo Temple.

In the afternoon, you will visit lacquer ware workshops, Manuha Temple built by exile King Manuha, Nanphaya Temple, Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and Oak-Kyaung monastery decorated with multi colour mural paintings.

Enjoy the breathtaking sunset from one of the temples of Bagan.

Day 3 Bagan – Mt.popa – Bagan (by Car)
OPTIONAL TOUR air balloon. The flight duration is about 45 mins but the entire experience will last about 2 1/2 hours. Available only from October to March.

After breakfast at hotel you will drive to Mount Popa south east of Bagan. Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its shrines dedicated to animist spirits. You may climb up the 777 steps to the shrine at the top. Drive back to Bagan in the afternoon. On the way you will stop-over at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees and its conversion to brown sugar. (jaggery)

In the late afternoon, transfer to jetty, board your local boat to enjoy sunset over the Irrawaddy River.

Day 4 Bagan – Amarapura – Mandalay (by Car And Flight)
After breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to Nyaung Oo Airport for a domestic flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival at airport you will visit the ancient capital of Amarapura, a royal capital founded before Mandalay. You will stop at Mahagandayon monastery where monks and novices line up to receive their daily offering of alms and food from faithful Buddhists. Then proceed to U Bein Wooden Bridge on the Taungtaman Lake, built over 150 years ago. Take a leisurely walk over the bridge and enjoy the surrounding panoramic view. Visit the traditional silk and cotton weaving industry.

You will drive back to Mandalay and check in at the hotel.

In the afternoon the tour begins at Mahamuni Paya the most revered Buddha statue in Myanmar. Stop briefly to observe the laborious process of gold-leaf beating, the craft workshop specializing in bronze-casting, marble-carving, wood-carving, and puppetry. Continue to the Golden Palace Monastery, a delicately carved wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda (the world's largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Finally, visit Mandalay Hill at sunset for the surrounding scenic view.

Day 5 Mandalay – Inwa – Sagaing – Mingun (car And Boat)
After breakfast at hotel you will begin your morning excursion to the ancient royal capital Inwa. By horse cart, you will visit Bagaya Monastery, Nan Myint Tower and Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan brick monastery.

You will drive to Sagaing, the spiritual centre of Myanmar. Hundreds of stupas, monasteries, temples and nunneries are to be found in Sagaing Hill, sometimes known as a living Bagan. Thousands of monks and nuns retreat here for meditation and contemplation. You will visit some of the most famous temples, such as Tupayon Paya and Hsinmyashin Paya (the Pagoda of Many Elephants)

In the afternoon, you will transfer to Mandalay jetty for upriver boat cruise to the ancient capital of Mingun. You will explore the huge and unfinished Mingun pagoda and nearby the Mingun Bell at 90 tons, the heaviest functioning bell in the world.

On the way back to Mandalay, you can enjoy the sunset of Irrawaddy River on the cruise.

Day 6 Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake (by Flight, Car And Boat)
After breakfast at hotel you will be transferred to Yangon Airport for a domestic flight to HEHO. Upon arrival you will travel by car to Nyaung Shwe the gateway to Inle Lake, a freshwater lake in the heart of Shan Highlands. On the way you will stop briefly at the Shwe Yan Pyay monastery built entirely of teak. Then continue the drive to the Red Mountain Estate for lunch and wine tasting. After lunch, you will canoe on a boat towards the beautiful lake side village of Kyay Sar Kone.

Transfer by long tail private boat to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy an excursion by boat on Inle lake, admire the famous leg-rowers, floating gardens, local fishing, village life and magnificent scenery. Visit the weaving village Inn Paw Khon, the Jumping Cats Monastery. Finally visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in Southern Shan State.

Day 7 Inle – Intein – Sae Ma Village – Inle (by Boat)
After breakfast at hotel you will visit one of the 5 Days Rotation Market, the market rotates its location on a 5 day basis and attracts vendors from around the lake and its surroundings.

Afterwards, you will cruise to Indein village, through a long channel where you can watch the farming of local produce in the lake and finally to the hidden Indein temple complex. Located on the shore of the lake, this site consists of hundreds of small stupas. You will continue on foot through rice fields to the village of Sae Ma. In the afternoon you will meet the villagers on the lake and travel to one of the monasteries to observe the monastic activities.

Return by boat to hotel.

Day 8 Inle – Heho – Ngapali (by Boat, Car And Flight)
After breakfast at hotel you will transfer by boat and by road to Heho Airport for a domestic flight to Thandwe (09:40-10:45). If time permits, you will visit a colourful local market. Upon arrival at the airport, the representative from your hotel will meet and transfer you to hotel.

In the afternoon free at leisure at the beach.

Breakfast at hotel.

Free at leisure at the beach. There are bicycle, jeep and bullock cart renting services, if you wish to explore the village area. You may seek assistance from your hotel for these services.

Day 11 Ngapali – Yangon (by Car And Flight)
After breakfast at hotel you will check out and transfer to Airport for a flight back to Yangon.

Upon arrival in Yangon, transfer to hotel for check in.

This afternoon, the guide and car will be at your disposal for further sightseeing or shopping. As a free and easy tour for today, you may visit Strand jetty to witness the daily life of the local people on Yangon's River. Visit Chinatown located in the downtown area, and visit Kheng Hock Keong, the largest Chinese Temple in Yangon, which is over 100 years old.

Day 12 Departure
After early morning breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to the Yangon International Airport for the departure flight to conclude this unique experience.
