In this itinerary you will experience a wonderful journey that will take you right into the heart of a friendly land, where exceptional hospitality is guaranteed. It begins in the charming former British colonial city of Yangon (Rangoon) which is the main commercial city of Myanmar. Then you will visit the magnificent Golden Rock, one of Myanmar's most sacred pilgrimage sites, explore the archaeological site of Rakhine state and its vicinity, enjoy the natural wonder of Inle Lake, and the village of Indein for the ruins of ancient pagodas.

The adventure continues to Mandalay, the last royal capital, the culture centre and ancient capital of Amapura. Witness the collection of monk’s alms at Amapura and the 600 painted pagodas and monasteries at Sagaing. Enjoy a horse-cart ride in Inwa and the world largest bell in the ancient city of Mingun. The tour concludes at the Bagan (UNESCO World Heritage site), the richest archaeological sights in Asia. Continuing to Mount Popa and enjoy amazing views of the plains of Bagan and distant hills.
Day 1 Yangon Day Tour
Upon arrival at Yangon international Airport you will be welcomed by our local guide and transferred to your hotel to check in or drop off your luggage.

In the afternoon, you will visit the Maha Bandula Park, Independence monument and the surrounding colonial buildings of Victorian & Edwardian era architecture. Spend some time at Sule Pagoda. Next, visit Botataung Pagoda, named after the 1000 military leaders who escorted relics of the Buddha from India over 2000 years ago. Finally visit Shwedagon Pagoda, the finest of Yangon and perhaps the most stunning religious edifice in the world. As the sun sets, the reddish golden rays of Shwedagon Pagoda reflect on everything around and turning into a magical arena.

Day 2 Yangon – Kyaiktiyo (by Car And Truck)
After breakfast at your hotel, you will start the four hour drive to the Golden Rock at Kyaikhtiyo. On the way, you will visit Taukkyan War Cemetery (in memory of the Commonwealth Allied soldiers killed during the Second World War). You will spend some time in the local colourful morning market at Kyaik Pun, and then visit the four seated images of Shwethalyaung Buddha and one of biggest reclining Buddha image in Myanmar built during 9th century. Afterward you will visit the Cheroot making workshop and the colourful Central Bago market. Then proceed to visit Shwemawdaw Pagoda and some other famous Pagodas. After spending some time at the temples you will continue to Kyaikhtiyo and then by open light truck about an hour drive up the mountain to the Golden Rock, the third most important pilgrimage site in Myanmar. Enjoy the surrounding and sunset beauty on hill top.

Day 3 Kyaiktiyo – Bago – Yangon (by Truck And Car)
After breakfast at hotel, you will return by truck to base of the mountain.

And start the four hours road journey back to Yangon.

On the way to Yangon, you will by-pass Bago, on the main road between North and South of Myanmar.

Day 4 Yangon – Sittwe (by Car And Flight)
After breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to Airport to take a flight to Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine state. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. After refreshment at hotel, you begin your sightseeing tour at Cultural Museum, the introduction to the geographical and cultural value of the area. Visit to a Buddhist monastery to see the best collections of antique items of that region and traditional hand weaving cottage industry. In the afternoon you will visit the most famous Pyi-lone-chan-tha Pagoda (everyone is wealthy and peaceful).

In the evening, you visit around the town and enjoy the sunset on the beach.

Day 5 Sittwe – Mrauk U (by Boat)Sittwe – Mrauk U (by Boat)
After breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to jetty for a chartered boat trip on the Kaladan river upstream to the ancient capital of Mrauk U. On the way, you stop at one of the local tribe of Rakhine village to experience the rural way of life.

Picnic lunch on board.

Day 6 Mrauk U (by Car)
After breakfast at hotel you visit the ancient city of Mrauk U and the 16th century temples such as Shite Thaung (temple of victory), Andaw Thein (temple of the Holy Molar Relic) Lemyathna (four face temple) and some other important temples. In the afternoon you visit the Palace Site, Zinamanaung Pagoda, Mong Khamoung Temple, Anuma Lake, Laksay Kan, Wuthay Image, Panzeemraung, Shun Pun, Pharabaw, Loka Manaung. Finally, enjoy sunset at Shwe Taung Hill overlooking the Mrauk U city.

Day 7 Mrauk U – Chin Village – Mrauk U (by Car And Boat)
After breakfast, you will leave by road to Sin Oh Village pass through the colourful paddy field and farms of lemon, mango, lychee, corn, peanut, watermelon on the fertilized soil of the river bank. Then, you will transfer to Mrauk U Jetty for a 3 hours boat ride in the Lemro River to the Chin village. On the way, you will enjoy the meandering river, mountains, flying birds and the crystal clear water. At the village, you will experience the traditional life style of the tribal people.

After picnic lunch in the bamboo house in Sin Gay Village, you will head back to Mrauk U.

Day 8 Mrauk U – Sittwe – Yangon (by Boat, Car And Flight)
After breakfast, you will visit Mrauk U market and then transfer to jetty to enjoy a downriver journey back to Sittwe.

Upon arrival, you will transfer to Airport to take a flight to Yangon.

Day 9 Yangon – Heho – Inle Lake (by Flight, Car And Boat)
After breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to Yangon Airport for a domestic flight to Heho. From Heho, you will proceed by car to Nyaung Shwe a gateway to Inle Lake, a freshwater lake in the heart of Shan Highlands. On the way you will stop at Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery, built entirely of teak. Then you will transfer to your hotel by long tail private boat. After brief refreshment at hotel, you enjoy an excursion by boat on Inle Lake. You will visit the weaving village of Inn Paw Khon, the Jumping Cats Monastery. Finally visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in Southern Shan State.

Return to hotel.

Day 10 Inle – Intein – Sae Ma Village – Inle (by Boat)
After Breakfast At Hotel You Will Visit One Of The 5 Days Rotation Market, The Market Rotates Its Location On A 5 Day Basis And Attracts Vendors From Around The Lake And Its Surroundings. Afterwards, You Will Cruise To Indein Village, Through A Long Channel Where You Can Watch The Farming Of Local Produce In The Lake And Finally To The Hidden Indein Temple Complex. Located On The Shore Of The Lake, This Site Consists Of Hundreds Of Small Stupas. You Will Continue On Foot Through Rice Fields To The Village Of Sae Ma. In The Afternoon You Will Meet The Villagers On The Lake And Travel To One Of The Monasteries To Observe The Monastic Activities.

Return By Boat To Hotel.

Day 11 Inle – Heho – Mandalay (by Boat Car And Boat)
After breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to Airport for a short flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for check in. After refreshment, the afternoon tour begins at Mahamuni Paya the most revered Buddha statue in Myanmar. Stop briefly to observe the laborious process of gold-leaf beating, the craft workshop specializing in bronze-casting, marble-carving, wood-carving, and puppetry. Continue to the Golden Palace Monastery, a delicately carved wooden building and Kuthodaw Pagoda (the world's largest book), consisting of 729 marble slabs engraved with Buddhist scriptures. Finally, visit Mandalay Hill at sunset for the surrounding scenic view.

Day 12 Amarapura – Inwa – Sagaing (by Car, Boat And Horse-cart)
After breakfast at hotel you begin the morning excursion to the ancient capital of Amarapura, a royal capital founded before Mandalay. You will stop at Mahagandayon monastery where monks and novices line up to receive their daily offering of alms and food from faithful Buddhists. Then proceed to U Bein Wooden Bridge on the Taungtaman Lake, built over 150 years ago. Take a leisurely walk over the bridge and enjoy the surrounding panoramic view. Visit the traditional silk and cotton weaving industry.

Continue by horse cart to visit the ancient imperial kingdom of Inwa or Ava. You will stop at Bagaya Monastery, Nanmyint Watch Tower and Maha Aung Mye Bon Zan brick monastery.

You will drive to Sagaing, the spiritual centre of Myanmar. Hundreds of stupas, monasteries, temples and nunneries are to be found in Sagaing Hill, sometimes known as a living Bagan. Thousands of monks and nuns retreat here for meditation and contemplation. You will visit some of the most famous temples, such as Tupayon Paya and Hsinmyashin Paya (the Pagoda of Many Elephants).

Return to Mandalay and visit the silversmith cottage industry.

Day 13 Mandalay – Bagan (by Express Shuttle Cruise)
Today, the journey to ancient Bagan will begins early morning at 5:00 am. You will transfer to jetty to take the express shuttle cruise down the Irrawaddy River. The journey to Bagan will take 7 to 10 hours depending on the water level and weather condition. This cruise will allow you to experience much of the countryside and bustling river activities. You will pass impressive golden pagodas rises majestically from the plain to create a timeless scene, saluting a glorious past. And cruise underneath Mandalay's famous teak bridge.

On arrival at Bagan jetty transfers to hotel for check in.

Day 14 Bagan (by Car)
After breakfast at hotel, you will begin the tours at the colourful Nyaung U Market. Then visit Shwezigon Pagoda and its magnificent golden stupa. Explore Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sand stone decoration and Gubyaukgyi Temple, with superb mural paintings.

In the afternoon, you will visit Myinkaba Village and observe the process of making the traditional lacquer ware handicrafts.

Enjoy the magnificent of Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece of the early-style temple with four impressive standing Buddha images, Thabinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan, Dhammayangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork.

Finally enjoy the sunset over the site from the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda.

Day 15 Bagan – Salay – Mt.popa – Bagan (by Car)
After breakfast at hotel, you will drive to Salay, a colourful old religious centre in Central Myanmar. Visit Yoke Sone monastery with its exceptional wood carving on the outside of the building.

Then continue the drive to Mount Popa, an extinct volcano with its shrines dedicated to animist spirits. You may climb up the 777 steps to the shrine at the top.

Drive back to Bagan in the afternoon. On the way you will stop-over at village cottage industry to learn the regional product as well as to watch the collection of juice from the palm trees and its conversion to brown sugar (jaggery).
Day 16 Bagan – Yangon Departure (by Flight)
After early morning breakfast at hotel, you will transfer to the airport for a flight to Yangon. Upon arrival you will transfer to hotel to refresh up.

Finally, you will visit Bogyoke (Scott’s) Market where you can find local products such as gems and jewellery and souvenirs. From here, you will transfer to the Yangon International Airport for the departure flight to conclude this unique experience.
